Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!

We want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We have just been to a candlelight carol service in nearby Hluhluwe which was very special - however we took a while to adjust to celebrating Christmas having spent the day in 46 degree temperatures!

We keep having to remind ourselves that it's the 24th of December as we are so used to it being cold and dark back home - a stark contrast to what we are experiencing now.
We wanted to share with you, this festive period, a very moving video we watched at the service tonight. We invite you to watch, reflect, and be thankful that this is the true meaning of Christmas.(It's not ours, it's the brilliant work of music group Cloverton, but it is so worth viewing!)

We have been constantly reminded what this season is all about. When we are missing our cold English weather, the family traditions and all the other routine things that make Christmas 'Christmas' it's easy to forget that regardless of where we are in the world the true reason to celebrate is the birth of Jesus who came to rescue us from our brokenness and suffering. Whilst we are all busy at this time of year (and we certainly have been, preparing for the 17 of us family who will share together tomorrow) it is so important not to miss the point of it all.

We hope and pray that you have a truly blessed Christmas wherever you are and whoever you're with. We shall write again in the new year.

Until then, much love and God Bless

M & B x
